The four-piece were obviously eager to take to the stage and perform their latest single as they spent the last week counting it down on their Twitter account.

Yesterday, Perrie Edwards tweeted: 'Just arrived in Weston-super-mare for sound check! Ahh, T4 on the beach is so close! I'm so darn excited! Who's excited?!? Perrie <3'

And just a few hours ago before they hit the stage, the band uploaded a post that read: 'Hi Mixers! The day the four of us have been waiting for has FINALLY come!'

Happy with the way their performance went and how well received the song had been so far the girls took to the micro-blogging site to show their appreciation.

They tweeted: 'Omgoshhh what an amazing experience today has been! T4OTB was jst wicked! Thank you guys for all your lovely comments about our new single!'

Dressed in their usual girly ensembles, the girls looked like the new faces of girl power.

Both Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie, 19 showed off their toned legs in a pair of short shorts and whereas Jade Thirlwall opted to wear a pair of cropped jeans with a pair of braces.

Standing out from the group, Jesy Nelson, 20, wore a pair of harem trousers which were decorated with dominos and she teamed the outfit with patent black boots and a sports jersey.

Oh, the media talking about appearances again? Well guess what, i'm glad these girls wear what they want, maybe they can have a good influence on younger girls. Or would you rather they wear lace-ups & sing about sex rather then reaching for ambitions & ignoring bullying?

Trouble with the Xfactor winners is that the wait is too long before they release anything. The music industry is a die hard, fast paced place & really they should have been churning out singles much quicker - otherwise someone bigger and better comes along and they are soon forgotten!- Dave Grohl's wife, Devonshire, UK, 2/7/2012 10:01...... that's exactly what i thought when i heard the new song this evening because it just sounds like Stooshe who have beaten them to it.
